The lower ends of the bigger tribs are holding large numbers of fish for this early in the year. Unfortunately the last 2 weeks have been the dryest two weeks we've had all year and the tribs are at their lowest levels since this time last year. So once again, it's September and we're hoping for rain and cooler weather.   The lake temperatures actually went up 2 degrees since last week to 72, which has caused slow action along the lakeshore. What fish are staging at the mouths seem to be right at the mouth catching the cooler stream water flowing into the lake.
In short, all we need is a cold front to come through and drop about 3/4" of rain and the fishing will be great.
