The first small groups of Steelhead have shown up in the lower stretches of the Pennsylvania streams. The water is currently low, but not terribly low as it can be this time of year. We've had a wet summer and it should not take much rain to get the streams flowing well this fall.  Talking to friends who've targeted the steelies in the lake this summer, I expect to see lots of big fish this Fall. It shouldn't be long now at all before we see fishable numbers in the lower ends and along the lake shore.

Here is one I landed yesterday with a Lamprey Eel attached, a common sight this early in the season.
